Entering

Is this a new kind of competition?

No. Skill-based prize competitions with a free entry route have run in the UK since 1999, more than 27 years. Forté Prizes uses the same proven model, with Spot the Ball and the Skill Challenge decided by independent judges.

Who can enter Forté Prizes competitions?

UK residents aged 18 or over. Staff, their households and anyone under 18 can't enter. See Rules & Eligibility.

How do I enter a competition?

Pick a prize, then play Spot the Ball, complete the Skill Challenge or answer the skill question. Choose your entries and check out. Your entry details are emailed to you.

Can I enter for free?

Yes. Every competition has a free postal entry route. Postal entries are treated exactly like paid entries. See Free Postal Entry.

How many entries can I buy?

Up to 1,000 entries per person per competition. Every competition also has a fixed maximum number of entries, shown on the prize page.

Do I need an account?

You can check out with your details, but an account lets you see your orders, entries and results in one place.

Winning

How is the Spot the Ball winner chosen?

An independent panel of judges decides where the ball most likely was. The valid crosshair closest to that position wins. There is no random draw.

How is the Skill Challenge winner chosen?

Entries score one point for each item in the same position as the judges' answer. The highest score wins, and the closest tie-break estimate settles ties. There is no random draw.

How does a skill question prize work?

Only correct answers, paid and postal, go into the live draw on Sunday at 9:00pm UK time. One winner is drawn per prize.

What happens if there's a tie?

If two or more Spot the Ball or Skill Challenge entries are exactly tied, the prize is shared equally between them. Each tied winner receives an equal share of the cash alternative.

When will I know if I've won?

We call and email winners within 24 hours of judging and publish results on the Winners page.

Can I take cash instead of the prize?

Most prizes have a cash alternative, shown on every prize page. You choose when we contact you.

Payments, limits and refunds

How can I pay?

Debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Credit card payments are capped at £250 a month.

Can I set a spending limit?

Yes. The default monthly limit is £250 and you can lower it at any time, including to £0, on Safer Play & Limits.

Can I get a refund?

You can ask for a refund within 24 hours of payment, as long as the competition hasn't closed. If a competition is cancelled, every paid entry is refunded. See our Refund Policy.
