You never have to pay to enter. Every competition can be entered free by post, and postal entries have exactly the same chance of winning as paid entries.

How to enter by post

  1. Use a postcard, or a letter in an envelope, sent by ordinary first or second class post. Don't use a service that needs a signature or extra payment.
  2. Write clearly:
    • Your full name, date of birth, postal address, email and phone number
    • The name of the competition
    • For a skill question: your answer
    • For Spot the Ball: the X and Y coordinates where you judge the ball to be, for example "X 742, Y 268". Find coordinates on the Spot the Ball page. You can place crosshairs to read the coordinates without paying.
  3. Send it to the address below. One entry per postcard or letter.

Postal entry rules

  • Postal entries must arrive before the competition closes. We recommend posting at least working days earlier.
  • Each postal entry counts as one entry and counts towards the same per-person limit as paid entries.
  • Postal entries are entered and judged in exactly the same way as paid entries, with the same chance of winning.
  • We email you to confirm your postal entry and give you an entry number.
  • Incomplete, illegible or late entries are not valid. Bulk entries sent in one envelope count as one entry.
